Founded by Cameron and his wife Courtney in 2016, the Maybin Mission focuses on enriching the lives of inner city youth. Today, Maybin Mission programs and partnerships reach thousands of kids from Asheville to Anaheim – and everywhere in between. Through positive play, education and cultural programming, the Maybins are dedicated to impacting the communities in which they live and serve.

The son of Rudy and Renee Maybin, Cameron credits his success to his parents and sister Camille. Growing up in Asheville, North Carolina, Cameron recalls days spent at the Boys & Girls Club of Buncombe County – telling fellow club kids that he was “going to the Big Leagues one day”.

Cameron believes that the Boys & Girls Club and the game of baseball, coupled with the guidance, love and support of his family, made him the man he is today – on and off the field. His biggest fans are his kids - Trent, Max & Laila.

Since 2007, Cameron and his family have supported countless community groups and initiatives in every market he’s called “home”, including Detroit Tigers, Florida Marlins, San Diego Padres, Atlanta Braves and currently, the Los Angeles Angels.

Cameron has also been active with his MLB teams’ various commitments to the local inner city youth programs, most recently supporting the LA Angels efforts via Sunburst Youth Academy, which helps High School students reclaim their lives while developing leadership, job skills, and academic skills, and improving self esteem, pride, and confidence.
